I have an obsession with old frames.  To me they let the mind wander.......

What piece of art did it perfectly display?  Did it hang in a formal living room and witness elegant cocktail parties or did it casually hang over someone's bed for 40 years observing life's simple moments?  Did it hold a valuable treasure? A portrait of someone long gone?  Was it there to lift your spirits?  Or did its presence spur inner reflection?

Give a few of these a new life.  If you don't have any artwork lying around, create something new.  Just imagine the possibilities.

Sorry Ernie.  This post is a little more girlie.

My favorite passions are anything design, paper or fashion related.  When all three converge I just can't pass up a little mention.

Walking right off the Chanel Spring 2009 couture runway, these paper hats had all the fashion industry a buzz.  "The 65 different headdresses were created out of two stacks of plain white copy paper by Japanese designer Katsuyo Kamo,  a master hairdresser, and his small team." Maybe not for everyone, but design worthy none-the-less.

I hate to admit it, but credit where credit is due.  This fun tidbit was turned on to me by my dad.   Wordle.net is a fun way to take text and create cool images from them.   Either enter your own words or copy and paste text from something that inspires you.....play around with the font, layout and colors.....instant word art!
