celebrating 25 years.

For anyone who owns your own business, you can understand the challenges involved in channeling your dream into a successful venture. It takes more than vision, passion, talent and creativity. You need to be able to define who you are, promote that message to your potential customers, build lasting relationships and just as importantly, create an environment that inspires the people who work with you and for you to believe in the dream and give 110 percent. You need to get dirty, wear many hats, re-invent, re-define, stay ahead of the trends, exceed expectations and always remember that your customers come first.

Now do that for 25 years.

That is what we celebrated this past Tuesday evening. A Thyme to Cook, lead by the uber talented Linda Sample, threw the party of all parties to celebrate their 25th year as the premier caterer in southeastern Connecticut. Surrounded by hundreds of friends, customers, the best-of-the-best industry professionals and members of both the Mystic Chamber and Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, Linda and her dedicated staff did not disappoint.

We were taken on a culinary journey of the past, present and future. The food was incredible showcasing many enticing flavors direct from local farms. The decor were pure eye-candy...not a single detail was missed.

And then, the fashion show.

In a jaw dropping runway show that would make the most talented designer on Project Runway green with envy, Gina Barber {Linda's senior event coordinator} stunned the crowd with her food couture collection. Words can not do it justice. You HAVE to view the pictures below.

To Linda and the entire staff of A Thyme to Cook,

On behalf of your many guests that evening, thank you for including us all in your celebration. You truly deserve your success and longevity. You have been an integral part of lifting the culinary standard in our area. You have been there to coordinate so many of our life landmark events. You inspire us all to think larger than what's been done and we are grateful.

We look forward to seeing what's still to come!
